2007 Club Member Competition
Our 2007 club competition was held
on 13th January 2008 due to conflicting dates, so we were unable
to fish the competition until this date.
We had 21 club members sign up
for this event with 7 boats taking 3 anglers per boat.
The day saw most of us on a
rising colored Willamette river fishing for sturgeon, due to the
temperature of the Columbia, this was the only river that would
give us some fish.
Individual winner was on Joe Shaws boat with new club member Ray
Gibson catching a 28lb fish, 51inches long, Jordon Laddusaw was
2nd with a 23lb fish, and Cory Lee was third with an 18pounder.
Team Winners were Preston
Gibson/Cory Lee and another new club member Larry Woodworth with a
2 fish combined weight of 33lbs. 2nd Team winner were Joe Shaw/
Dick Settje and Ray Gibson.
3rd Team was Gene and Jordon
Laddusaw with Ken Wagner.
All winners were
presented a trophy at the annual Sweethearts dinner in February.
Hopefully we will be able to
combine additional dates through the year to give us the
chance to fish together again.......... but earlier.
